King Milling Company :: Packaging & Warehouse Addition

Lowell, Michigan

Design-Builder

Story

The expansion of King Milling Inc. involved adding flour packaging and warehouse space. The new facility contains a packaging line with flour conveyed pneumatically through new lines from existing mill buildings in the complex.

The expansion works in conjunction with King Milling’s new processing equipment. Also a part of the addition is a 100+ foot high bay tower containing flour bins. The packaged flour is palletized and stored in the warehouse until it is loaded and shipped via semi-trailers at the loading docks.

The warehouse building is a precast concrete structure and the high bay portion is steel framed clad with composite insulated metal panels.
