This 1961 modern style A-frame church facility has been transformed into a beautiful sacred space inviting worshipers to full, conscious and active participation. A tile mosaic of the Queen of the Holy Rosary on the church exterior honors the parish patron.
The project involved a renovation of the interior spaces, as well as a narthex addition designed with solutions to better facilitate the celebration of the liturgy. The design process brought to focus the challenge of including current liturgical practices within an existing set of design parameters and the project budget while maintaining the devotional mood unique to the parish of Queen of the Holy Rosary.
The parish participated throughout the five-year process. This resulted in maintaining the original character of the building while making liturgical changes and respecting those with special needs. It is an engaging environment depicting mystery. The rejuvenation of the church has brought forth enlivened reviews from its members, increased attendance, and attracted new followers.
