Kansas Trial Lawyers Association

Topeka, Kansas

Architectural

Story

Treanor Architects provided architectural and interior design services to the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association. This Topeka landmark building was designed by well known Kansas architect, Thomas Williamson, and built in 1927 as Fire Station No. 2. It served the capital city as a fire station and as the headquarters of the Topeka Fire Department until 1979.

The design team assisted in honoring the heritage of this building by maintaining the building's original appearance while renovating the interior to meet Kansas Trial Lawyers Association needs and the community in the 21st century. Now fully renovated, the historic site houses the KTLA administrative office, and Education and Resource Center.
