Cleveland Chiropractic College had been considering a new location for their Kansas City Campus for a number of years, looking either to build from the ground up or find an appropriate property they could adapt and refurbish to fit their needs. They found what they were looking for in an existing facility sited on 29 acres in Overland Park, Kansas. Commissioned by a national corporate entity some 35 years ago, the building sits atop a promontory overlooking Interstate 435, within a business corridor it shares with one of Kansas City's premier corporate office parks and the state's largest community college.

With 130,000 square feet, and a full cafeteria serving a dining space that overlooks wooded surroundings, the property has enough space to accommodate current needs and allow for future expansion, including a 60,000 square foot auditorium and laboratory wing, conceptually planned to be constructed within a five-year timeframe. The new laboratories and classrooms currently included in the space offer students ample space and power for portable computing. The College also purchased an adjacent property and its newer 45,000 square foot building, bringing their new campus footprint to 35 acres.

Along with classroom, laboratory, and administrative space, the building houses a public Chiropractic clinic. Classrooms and laboratories offer state-of-the-art furnishings and technology, while the administrative and faculty areas are designed with both students and teachers in mind. Moveable seating will provide flexibility in most classrooms and the large lecture rooms, while a prototype classroom with seating risers was designed to experiment with fixed seating and leading-edge audiovisual technology. Fixed seating technology will be further evaluated and incorporated on an ongoing basis, but most all classrooms, laboratories, and lecture rooms have been outfitted with the same multimedia, network-connected equipment. The entire building is also on a wireless network for student convenience.
