Challenge: To enlarge the triage area for the unit to accommodate 600 to 1,000 obstrentic patients per month - 9,120 feet of cosmetic and functional update to handle the patient intake and triage - Worked with staff to create an environment that used state-of-the-art technologies while accommodating the urgent care triage for all obstetric intake - Consolidated 2 nurse stations to one large open work area to monitor the triage - Integrated monitors and incorporated patient privacy to comply with HIPPA regulations - Relocated and enlarged staff support areas such as clean supply, storage, staff room, and registration/administration
