Grand Rapids, MI
West Michigan has the abundant farm production, consumer demand and community support necessary to establish a year-round indoor/outdoor marketplace in downtown Grand Rapids. Grand Action and the Grand Rapids DDA have hired Pioneer Construction to serve as the construction manager to make this dream a reality. The permanent Downtown Market will help catalyze downtown revitalization, generate jobs, and new economic activity, and expand access to fresh foods for people from all walks of life.
The Downtown Market will house rooftop greenhouses, indoor stalls for food vendors selling fresh produce, a seasonal outdoor farmers market, two restaurants, a commercially certified production kitchen, a community demonstration kitchen, and event space. It will also include food demonstration facilities and the nation’s first kid’s demonstration kitchen.
The Market was awarded USGBC LEED Gold Certification.

Expansion of the fermentation room and all new bottling line. The corporate offices were expanded, with a new board room and break room for employees. Part of the existing bar was renovated including a new retail store for merchandise and a total remodel and expansion of the kitchen.
This was a complete renovation of the 1913 Room and Grill at 1913 into the national steak house chain Ruth's Chris. The layout of the 200-seat restaurant, which includes a bar, is designed to give privacy. At the same time, it is surprisingly resourceful as a meeting space; up to three private dining rooms can become one to seat 70 people, and have the latest media and satellite technologies on hand. The décor clearly supports an impactful experience: bold and unexpected, with luxurious modernity. This is not like any other Ruth's Chris Steak House.
