STRUCTURAL STEEL FABRICATORS TO THE COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
Hamilton High School was a large structural steel project, with 450 tons of structural, 240 tons of joist and joist girders and 1,400 squares of floor and floor deck. The main corridor connecting all portions of the building is 740 feet long with a 390 foot radius. Portions of the building followed this radius , while others connected to it at various angles.
The unusual features on this project are the radiused "main street", the tube trusses in the Commons, the "V" shaped study area in the Library and the entrance canopies. Each of these presented their own unique challenges.
