Finished work for Palms Place
Palms Place is located at the corner of Flamingo Road and Arville Street in Las Vegas, Nevada. This 50-story, 520-foot condominium hotel and spa features 599 condominium units. This tower is the third addition to the resort property and follows suit with pomp and circumstance.
Palms Place is connected to the main Palms Resort by an enclosed, elevated moving walkway, allowing residents 24-hour access to amenities at the Palms. Palms Place features a private, gated entryway, with a 50,000 square foot pool and spa.
The unique challenge with this project was erecting a building in a limited acreage while the rest of the property was still in full operation. Lochsa Engineering is proud to say that we've been on the Palms design team for the entire resort property from start to finish.
Encore at Wynn Las Vegas Completed
Encore is the sister tower of the Wynn Las Vegas. The tower is 53 stories, 587-feet tall and provides 2.5 million square feet of luxury rooms and suites. The roof of the tower supports a 62-foot tall steel framed parapet which is the largest in Las Vegas, second to the 50-foot parapet on the Wynn Tower.
The Encore Tower provides 1,818 standard suites, 222 larger suites, a 70,000 square foot casino, six restaurants, eight bars and lounges including a new nightclub, 11 world class retail outlets, two pools (one that can be seen from the casino floor), and a 50,000 square feet spa with 36 treatment rooms.
Lochsa Engineering is very proud of the structural design of the tallest parapets at this casino property, which is not the norm in Las Vegas or for other projects of this type.
Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel Completed
The Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel consists of a 16-story 280,000 square foot tower and 250,000 square foot low-rise reminiscent of early 20th Century buildings of the industrial age. The 211-foot tall tower provides 307 hotel rooms and a restaurant at the 16th level. The roof of the tower supports a 23-foot tall structural steel saw tooth roofline.
The low-rise portion of the property consists of 70,000 square foot of casino space, 20,000 square feet of convention space, 10,000 square feet bingo hall, three bars, an upscale live entertainment lounge, resort spa, jacuzzis and a half-acre pool area.
The unique qualities of this project encompass the mass challenge it took to transform a 50-year old casino building into a modern hangout for locals. This hotel casino is the newest facility on the Boulder Highway strip and has a fantastic view from the top. Lochsa was proud to provide the civil and structural engineering design and surveying services for this entire project, as well as The Cannery at Craig and Losee in North Las Vegas prior.
