Pepsi Bottling Plant

Howell, Michigan

Concrete-Contractor

Story

Kent Companies was awarded this project through CHA Companies to provide turnkey services for the removal and replacement of approximately 250,000 SF of heavy duty concrete paving at a Pepsi bottling plant in Howell, Michigan.  The project included removal of the existing pavement, sub grade stabilization, concrete joint and slab reinforcing, and 3-D concrete paving.

The project was started in late August and completed by the beginning of December.  Multiple phases were used to keep the plant running without delay while construction was completed.  Fonson, Inc. was instrumental in completing the removal work as a subcontractor to Kent Companies in a timely manner to allow for quick placement of the concrete pavement.  On average, the day after an area of paving was removed the subgrade was prepared and concrete was scheduled to be placed.  This project is another example of Kent Companies’ ability to deliver a quality product on a tight schedule to a satisfied customer.
