Kent Companies is a recognized leader when it comes to high production concrete foundations along with 3-D concrete slope paving.  It was because of this expertise that Kent Companies was called upon by Visser Brothers Inc. to partner with them on two Menards retail stores in southern Ohio in the spring of 2010.  Both projects had similar plans and specs and a customer who expected a fast paced schedule to allow for the stores to be up and running in time for the holiday shopping season.  The owner also requested alternate pricing to put in a concrete yard area in lieu of the specified heavy duty asphalt.  Kent Companies was able to provide competitive pricing to the owner which allowed for the both stores to have long lasting, low maintenance concrete yard areas.  At the Hamilton store, over 218,000 square feet of 7” concrete paving was placed in pours exceeding 35,000 square feet.  The same size pours were used at Columbus in late November to beat out the coming snow and cold weather that would have severely impacted the schedule and delayed the opening of the store.  That didn’t happen, and the store opened on schedule.
