This project involved new interior construction for a medical oncology suite within the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion. The design concept involved a layering of spaces and flow for patients, carepartners, and caregivers that would allow degrees of privacy and support. Signficant research was done prior to the design to respond to appropriate patient care settings for infusion treatment that were configurable to a variety of needs by the patient, carepartner, and caregiver. Supporting environments included an outdoor healing garden, retail pharmacy, family visit|relief lounges and resource cafe. Materials, lighting, and sound all contribute to a environment of healing and hope.
