DeStefano and Partners designed this new, 20,000 sf natatorium with the existing facility's character and roof heights in mind. The single story structure accommodates a main tank pavilion with zero depth entry and their ancillary components. Expressing the building's underlying structural system is a dynamic roof form, which allows natural light into the main tank area for the majority of the day. Interior walls are blue structural clay tile with fritted-glass clerestories. The locker rooms are enclosed by bursts of red, yellow, and blue structural clay tile against the more subdued cool gray walls.
