Metal-Framing
Stew Leonards Grocery Store on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, CT was a challenging reformation project of an abandoned Caldor Department store that began in the Fall of 2006. With a non-negotiable deadline, our framers, carpenters, and drywall finishers had to deliver quality while under stringent time constraints. Our organization was called upon to transform a building with structural idiosyncrasies and a constantly changing design criteria, into a 120,000 s.f. state of the art Stew Leonards grocery store. Our employees completed the exterior canopy framing including installing a Lancaster dome onto a silo constructed by our framers. The exterior and interior plywood sheathing, interior drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and doors and hardware were completed by our skilled employees. Our carpenters were critical in the sucessful construction of this project. They exemplified the many values of our organization. Our employees were professional, cooperative, responsive, and solution driven with a proactive attitude. The Stew Leonards project was one of the most enjoyable and rewarding projects that our company has ever been fortunate enough to be a part of.
