Story

State Savings Bank is a full-service community bank that serves the financial needs of communities in northwest Lower Michigan. Established in 1901, it has branches and loan centers in several locations, including Traverse City, Beulah, Empire, Frankfort, Gaylord, Suttons Bay, Big Rapids, Caro, and Houghton Lake.  The bank provides various personal and business banking services.

The new Traverse City office is now open at 862 Garfield Avenue at Centre Street. The three-level, 17,575-square-foot facility will serve as the bank’s principal office and will be home to more than 50 employees.  The new Garfield branch provides customers with full-service banking, including two drive-thru lanes, a 24-hour drive-up ATM, an after-hours depository, and plenty of convenient parking. It also houses the bank’s business banking, mortgage lending, consumer lending, administration and operations teams.
