St. Joseph North hospital is an all new three-story, 350,000-square-foot hospital in North Tampa off Van Dyke Road, and its opening is planned for 2009. This acute care hospital will feature 108 all-private rooms, a full service 30-bed emergency department and a technologically advanced all-digital paperless environment.
The BCH Mechanical team is responsible for the full Mechanical: HVAC, Plumbing, Sheet Metal and Medical Gas systems for the entire facility with Bovis Construction. This is a $ 30-million mechanical project for BCH Mechanical with over 700,000 pounds of ductwork and complete chilled water, condenser water, and steam and heating water systems, which strengthens our foothold on being the "go to" contractor on all of the significant health care projects in the bay area.
The Burnham Institute for Medical Research, a California-based medical research institute, is establishing a major research facility in Orlando, Florida, which will provide the organization with bicoastal operations.
BCH Mechanical Inc. was selected to be part of the construction team in a "design assist" role, and then move directly into construction to insure the highest quality systems are employed in a cost effective manner for the maximum benefit to the owner. This is an intense mechanical project: three-stories and 178,000 square feet, designed with lab hoods, Phoenix air valves, custom air handlers with special attenuation, specialized exhaust and energy recovery systems, stainless steel ductwork and full direct digital controls. Plumbing systems include sanitary, storm, medical gas, laboratory, domestic and de-ionized water.
BCH will be providing full HVAC and Plumbing systems on this facility with over $15 Million of mechanical work in place for this 1 year project.
This is the new facility for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that was built on the old Tampa Bay Mall site next to the stadium. BCH Mechanical was the design/builder on this project providing both HVAC and Plumbing design and construction.
The office portion contains team operations, office and physical training space as well as media relations, ticket sales, coaching offices, team meeting space and video production studios. The weight training facility and mechanical equipment is housed in the training building.
This was a tremendously exciting project to be part of, with BCH having the responsibility of bringing comfort to our World Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The glass lobby is shaped like a football, which is just one of the many unique aspects of this project
