The consultants at Acoustics By Design provided recommendations for architectural acoustics in the newly constructed Wolverine World Wide YMCA in Belmont, Michigan. We incorporated 3D software to predict the facility's aural response even before construction began. This information enabled us to develop an accurate design that would meet or exceed the acoustical requirements in the numerous spaces throughout the building.
Development of this 46,800 square foot state-of-the-art YMCA included a lap pool, family pool, chapel, gymnasium, multi-purpose fitness area, kitchen, indoor climbing center, and administrative offices along with outdoor soccer and softball fields and a nature trail. Phase II design was completed in 2007 and included the addition of an elevated indoor track, a family gymnasium, family locker room, and multi-purpose area.
