Story

1. The atrium interior glass is a 350 SF curved glass facade (a) 8 laminated, up to 40 SF & 600lbs curved glass + 12 laminated, up to 40 SF & 600lbs glass pieces The glass was installed with a glass manipulator hung from a cantilevered steel beam from the roof. 2. The atrium interior curtain wall is a 40 foot structurally glazed glass wall. (a) 16 insulated, up to 66 SF & 1400 lbs glass pieces The curtain wall is hung from the slab above in lieu of the typical dead loading at the sill since it is directly above a folding wall partition. 3. The Laylight is a 1,450 SF double glazed indoor skylight (a) 1,400 LF of stick built framing (b) 248 preserved historic stained glass pieces (b) 60 laminated pieces of glass Glass was set by hand from on top of the frames where the glass is installed 4. The L6 glass floor is a walkable, 2 hr fire rated floor (a) 48, 5" thick,18 SF & up to 900lb pieces of glass The glass consists of two sections: i. a laminated walkable top layer & ii. a bottom layer of laminated gel filled IGU for the 2 hr rating. The floor was installed with a walk behind crane, cradling the glass from two lifting straps, attached to a spreader bar and chain fall.
