OFS

Washington, DC

Story

This project represents an outstanding achievement in commercial interior construction, combining sophisticated design, high-quality craftsmanship, and seamless project execution to deliver an exceptional workspace for OFS. Located on the fourth floor of The Herald at 1307 New York Ave NW in Washington, DC, the OFS project transforms a raw space into a dynamic, modern, and functional workplace. The project encompassed comprehensive interior renovations, including new partition walls, flooring, ceiling systems, and state-of-the-art mechanical, electrical, and data infrastructure to support OFS’s operational needs. DFS worked closely with the client, architect, and consultants to create a space that not only aligns with OFS’s brand identity but also prioritizes efficiency, flexibility, and aesthetic appeal. The resulting environment fosters collaboration and productivity, while also incorporating high-end finishes and sustainable building practices. The finish plan integrates a sophisticated palette, including wood veneers, high-quality carpet and tile, decorative ceiling elements, and a mix of accent paints and wallcoverings to enhance the workspace’s visual appeal. The layout optimizes functionality with a well-balanced mix of open workspaces, private offices, conference rooms, and collaborative areas, promoting both productivity and interaction, all while promoting many of its beautiful products. The power and data plan ensures seamless connectivity, supporting modern workplace demands with carefully positioned access points and concealed wiring for a clean aesthetic. The lighting package features a combination of recessed lighting, pendant fixtures, and acoustic ceiling tiles, creating a bright yet comfortable environment. DFS navigated several complexities during the execution of the project, including working within a busy downtown environment, which required meticulous logistical planning for material deliveries and workforce coordination. Existing building conditions necessitated careful assessment and preparation of the concrete slab, partitions, and mechanical systems to integrate seamlessly with the new design elements. By maintaining continuous communication with OFS and design partners, DFS ensured that all specifications, finishes, and functional needs were met without compromising the construction schedule. The final result is a workplace that reflects OFS’s corporate identity, enhances employee experience, and provides a welcoming space for clients to see and feel OFS products in person.
