Confidential data center campus in Manassas. Laurita Inc. Scope included clearing and grubbing, erosion control installation, mass grading and excavation of 500,000CY, drilling and blasting of over 250,000CY including controlled sizing of the rock utilizing mobilized jaw crushing units, and re-use of the sized rock as embankment in building pads and permanent roadways. Scope also included wet utility drilling and blasting and installation. Laurita Inc. self-performed all grading and earthwork as well as installation of 21,000+ LF of storm, water, and sanitary piping, and 100+ structure installations including a storm tech underground retention system. We partnered with trusted subcontractors for drilling and blasting scope, installation of a designed MSE wall spanning 800+ LF, as well as jack and bore under existing 4 lane roadway. Throughout the project Laurita Inc. identified challenges and through value engineering provided solutions to accelerate the delivery of building pad by 3 months. Laurita also proposed and coordinated with local authorities providing solutions to eliminate exposure to the owner by installing jack and bore as opposed to an open trench cut through a 4 lane roadway as indicated by design drawings. The project was a success for Laurita Inc and its trade partners and is a cornerstone in Laurita’s shift towards mission critical infrastructure.
