The 50,000 square foot build-out of the new Sodexo headquarters in North Bethesda’s prestigious Pike & Rose development was a landmark project that highlighted high-end craftsmanship and attention to detail. The project includes premium wood and tile flooring, along with specialty wall finishes such as tile, fabric panels, and custom wall coverings. A standout feature was the main reception area, which houses a commercial coffee bar with a perforated wood panel ceiling, and a staging kitchen for chef exhibitions, featuring a stretched mirror finish fabric ceiling. A large multi-purpose room, which was divisible and equipped with integrated audio-visual systems, served as a versatile space for various events. The boardroom and executive conference rooms feature custom millwork wall panels and surrounds, adding elegance to these key spaces. Intricate lighting, cove details, and live plants in custom millwork planters were included throughout the office, enhancing the atmosphere. Engaging rand* early in the process allowed comprehensive budget management, ensuring that Sodexo made informed decisions throughout the project. The scope also included the creation of an Aspretto coffee and espresso shop, a brand owned by Sodexo, with a guest chef kitchen. The new headquarters featured a completely upgraded HVAC and lighting system and was delivered on schedule and under budget. rand* was honored to play a pivotal role in this project, proudly attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the successful completion of this state-of-the-art space.
