Washington, DC
Hogan Lovells, is a globally recognized law firm with a prestigious office located in downtown Washington, DC. The firm has been a prominent player in the legal field for over 20 years, and this renovation project aimed to enhance their office space to reflect their reputation and cater to modern needs. Our preconstruction team worked tirelessly to meet the client’s expectations, considering the unique challenge of sourcing high-end materials with long lead times. A prime example was the custom-ordered white tile, which was shipped all the way from Greece. The rand* team ensured all materials arrived on time, allowing the renovation to stay on schedule without compromising quality. The renovation project took place in a phased operation. The first phase, from April to August, included the creation of a temporary wall around the space to facilitate uninterrupted work while maintaining the function of the office. One of the standout elements of the renovation was the transformation of the reception area into an open and inviting lounge space. This area now features a coffee bar and new seating areas that encourage collaboration and relaxation. The staircase was reimagined, incorporating sleek white Corian to line the exterior of the railing, bringing a modern and elegant touch. Above the banquette seating, a state-of-the-art G-tex metal ceiling was installed, which required meticulous coordination between three different subcontractors to ensure the order of operations and seamless execution. The client has been highly satisfied with the results, using the renovated lounge space for various events that highlight the new design and functionality of the office. This project not only meets Hogan Lovells’ needs but elevates their office environment to a modern, stylish, and functional space that reflects the firm’s prestige.
