The Washingtonian project is a 7-story complex with independent living, assisted living, and memory care residences, featuring a vast array of amenities and dining areas. Each area has its own aesthetic identity which was established through Manganaro’s work on this project. The construction of specialty linear wood ceilings felt column covers, porte-cochere, and terrace enhances the project's ambiance. The felt column covers and linear wood ceilings add an elegant touch to the interior dining and amenity areas, while the exterior fireplace and terrace create a beautiful exterior look. The framing at the terrace and porte cochere needed to be engineered to support the necessary loads and was installed per specific details designed for these locations. Similarly, the specialty linear wood ceilings required a precise design and custom cliprail framing system. The complex design and construction process for these systems led to high-quality products. In addition to the technical nature of the designs required for the exterior assemblies, our commitment to technical excellence is showcased in the indoor pool area, where non-ferrous, corrosion-resistant framing was required. All aspects of the assemblies needed to be considered, from studs and grids to clips, pins, and wires for suspended ceilings. The resulting structure stands as a signature building for the owner. Our craftsmanship, particularly in challenging areas like specialty ceilings and exterior assemblies, reflects our dedication to delivering exceptional results. This project serves as a testament to our ability to overcome complexities and create structures that are both visually impressive and technically sound.
