The CNH 4Main Dialysis Phase 2 project consisted of a dialysis suite fit out that included open bay treatment areas with custom wall finishes, negative air isolation and exam rooms, a breakroom, work and support spaces, waiting room and restrooms on Level 4 Main at the CNH Main Campus. Additional scopes of work completed were new rooftop Mechanical RTU with support steel and roofing, interior storefronts with operable windows, custom wood casework, a new catwalk along the buffer zone, and a thorough rework of the interstitial spaces above and below. This project proved difficult as we encountered unforeseen conditions of existing MEP systems and structure, requiring abatement and reconfiguration of systems to allow for intended design installation. Detailed sequencing and adjusted coordination with the hospital staff, design team, our trade partners, and Turner was also key to overcome initial delays and deliver the project on its original completion date. This project was extremely important both to Turner and Children’s National Hospital as it delivered a new essential treatment space for patients who depend on these services.
