Balfour Beatty is providing construction services to Kisco Senior Living for The Carnegie at Washingtonian Center, a new senior living facility on an 8.5-acre site in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Located between Malcom King Park and the Rio Washingtonian, the seven-story integrated complex will feature 296 one- and two-bedroom floorplans for independent living, assisted living, and memory care residences. Amenities will include two-levels of parking, multiple dining venues, a heated indoor saltwater pool, state-of-the art fitness center, wellness spa, yoga studio, onsite health care, a lecture hall for ongoing local educational programming, computer learning center, curated art gallery, cooking demonstration kitchen, and an outdoor landscaped park. The Carnegie, named for the culture and philanthropy associated with famous industrialist Andrew Carnegie, is scheduled to open in the spring of 2024.
