This ambitious redevelopment project involved demolishing the existing Westmont Shopping Center and constructing Westmont Apartments, an impressive 6-story mixed-use building. Ideally situated at the intersection of Columbia Pike and Glebe Road near downtown Arlington, Westmont Apartments presents 250 luxury units featuring inspired amenities. The new building elevates apartment living with spacious floor plans, timeless interiors, modern amenities such as a lobby lounge, fitness center, conference room, below-grade parking, and a desirable balance between urban access and suburban escape. Westmont Apartments offer spacious & sophisticated apartments that showcase clean and contemporary interior design, with one and two-bedroom floor plans ranging from 600–1,500 square feet, with quartz countertops, top-of-the-line appliances, modern fixtures, and wood-style flooring. A neutral palette is showcased throughout the interior spaces and apartment finishes, evoking timeless beauty and sophistication. A complex structure, Westmont Apartments is stick frame over podium construction. The building has one story of below-grade parking and two partial levels of above-grade parking to support six retail areas and residents, totaling 343 parking spaces. The full-tenant floors max out at 52 units, fully encompassing a courtyard exclusively for the residents. Because there was no laydown space outside the footprint of the building, all deliveries were made just in time due to the residential neighborhood being just over 15 feet away. The building’s exterior is predominantly brick at the corner facing Glebe and Columbia Pike, with the remainder and the courtyard constructed out of painted concrete panels. Westmont features various luxuries alongside stunning gathering spaces, indoors and out. A double-height lobby with a fireplace lounge presents a warm welcome and leads to the resident mailroom with automated package lockers and complimentary bike storage.
