Exterior Facade Restoration & Repair

Story

This project consisted of restoration of the façade, windows, roof, and cornice. The façade restoration included repointing of brick mortar, replacement of damaged brick with units harvested from concealed locations on the building, crack repairs, stone patching, stone dutchman repairs, and stone crack injections. The window restoration highlighted the oak wood frame repairs, wood dutchman repairs, epoxy injections, new paint, glazing, and sealant and new plexiglass. Additionally, compromised and missing stained glass pieces were replaced with custom matches. In addition to the complete façade restoration, a copper roof repair and restoration of the existing roof and metal cornice were completed in coordination with the façade repairs. Repair and restoration was also addressed at numerous metal features around the building, including bars at the ground level alley windows. A new retaining wall was also constructed in the south elevation alleyway at the start of the project. This project was completed while accommodating the buildings full event schedule with work hours adjusted to meet the needs of the owner.
