VKM Contracting began this project in June of 2023. The project consist of removing 2 bridges (Bridge 24=20 feet, Bridge 23= 1 quarter mile) built in the 1970s resting on creosote piles and replacing them with drilled 4.5" steel helical piles. VKM engineers designed and had fabricated a steel girders work platform on which rested the crane mats that a 30,000lb excavtor rested on the drilled piles. This was used to drill 2
