General contractor Wolverine Building Group completed the construction of the first thrift store for Bethany Christian Services, which consisted of a renovation of a 17,000 square foot warehouse into a spacious retail facility. The location was selected for its centrality and its proximity to many of Bethany’s Grand Rapids-area clients.

Bethany Christian Services is a not-for-profit organization serving children and families in 20 countries. They provide adoption and post-adoption services, counseling, foster care, and a variety of additional resources for families around the world. Proceeds from the 29th Street store will benefit Bethany’s Grand Rapids clients, particularly for unfunded or underfunded projects such as refugee services.
