Wolgast revitalized Battle Creek's Old Community Hospital into an affordable senior housing complex owned by developer, Westbrook Place LDHALP.  The redevelopment into the Westbrook Place Apartments was made possible by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) and their Low Income Tax Credit program and with the assistance of the City of Battle Creek and Battle Creek Unlimited.  Wolgast Corporation performed the design and construction and worked with Westbrook Place LDHALP to restore the building without altering the historical richness of its exterior.  Upon completion, the revitalized historical building resulted in a new interior floor plan consisting of 69 new, affordable, elderly residential units (for those 55 and older) along with ample amenities and community space.
