Story

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) awarded tax credits to support this new affordable housing complex for families in Battle Creek, Michigan.  It was built on part of the former Community Hospital site.  Extensive demolition to one of the hospital towers was necessary to make room, which was challenging due to the fact that the other half of the building was occupied by residence of an elderly affordable housing development.  The new housing provides 48-units with 2 and 3 bedroom family-style, townhome rental units.
