TruMedia was brought in to this project by Design Build Concepts. This project includes a Total Control central control system that runs the distributed video system, the distributed audio system, the home theater and garage doors.
The distributed video system includes the control of 11 televisions throughout the house that are connected to the client's cable boxes, AppleTV, Roku, and DVD player by a digital matrix audio/video system that allows these devices to be viewed on any TV in the system. The distributed audio system included 8 zones of audio that can be controlled directly from the client's smart phone, tablet or remote with their Total Control system. This eliminated the need for the client to have outdated volume controls in each room that just create wall clutter.
The pis de resistance of this project however is the dedicated home theater. This 7.1 surround sound system included mid and rear dipole speakers with the front left, center and right speakers being cleverly concealed behind the 120" perforated movie screen. The 12" in floor subwoofer was the perfect design fit with the custom built risers for the theater seating.
All of the media devices and controls for this system were neatly stored in a custom 8ft tall rack that was housed in the lower level utility room assuring the client that while all of their technology needs would be met, that they would not have to deal with creating any unsightly storage spaces for their media equipment.
