Hudsonville, Michigan
Construction-Management
The Georgetown Elementary School is a part of the $31.5 million bond issue that Triangle completed for Hudsonville Public Schools. This elementary facility creates a superior educational environment for its K-5 students due to it’s design as well as construction methods. The classrooms use a volume speech enhancement system to help younger students hear clearly and learn efficiently. In addition to classrooms, space was dedicated for special needs, art and music. For a hands-on approach to education, students can access an outside science deck. The school site allows for separate student and parent drop-off locations to maximize safety. Three separate playgrounds, a soccer field and a T-ball field round out this facility. The building utilizes the earth’s natural temperatures through a geothermal heating and cooling system which minimizes operating costs. Terrazzo floors were installed throughout the building — designed to last for the life of the facility.
