The 128,300 square foot, Coopersville Middle School offers facilities for the 700 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. The building plan includes three two-section grade level units each with a science lecture/lab suite and locker bay.
Each unit contains a learning commons with open collaboration areas and a conference/work room outside the classrooms. Moveable walls between classrooms provides added flexibility, and large windows between classrooms and the learning commons allow supervision of the various learning spaces. This facility has been designed for flexibility and future changes in instructional programs and grade configurations. The District’s goal was to create a school that can be easily converted to meet the future education needs of the community.
