Story

THE KING CO., INC. provided design-build earth retention services for the Marriott Hotel.  The temporary left-in-place earth retention was designed for excavation depths up to 26-feet from grade.  A soldier pile timber lagging wall was selected as the earth retention system as it provided the Owner with an efficient, cost-effective solution to support the adjacent roadways and buildings.  550 linear feet of soldier pile timber lagging wall was installed with 95 grouted anchors with design capacities up to 75 tons.  The work was completed with two piling crew utilized to meet the fast-track schedule.
