Porter Hills Retirement Communities selected Triangle Associates to construct a senior condominum/apartment community named Cook Valley Estates. Ground was broken in May of 1999 on the 68-unit multi-family complex, including 34-single-family homes. The project involved extensive site work and the creation of three acres of wetlands. The owners of the single-family homes selected from one of three floor plans and three elevations; then completely customized the interior of their new home. Triangle provided a full-time project manager to help guide the new homeowners through the customization process and a full-time carpenter for all of their custom woodworking needs. These homes ranged from 1,670 square feet to over 2,600 square feet. While the single-family homes were well underway, the multi-family complex started to take shape. The unique design of the complex incorporated 68-residential units, a 100-vehicle underground parking garage, full service kitchen, dinning room, cafe, men’s game room, women’s study, full service beauty salon and 24-hour on-site security. The facilities feature multiple lounge areas throughout, a theater/dance hall and a fitness room. Triangle successfully completed over 300,000 square feet of construction at Cook Valley in 18 months. Awards include: 2001 Associated Builders and Contractors Award of Excellence for Institutional Construction $20-$25 Million
