Originally built as a hospital, this structure was renovated into a senior living community with a mail service center, movie theather, library, and full service dining room on the ground and first floors and apartments on the top 3 floors.  Wanting to create a more appealing and inviting look, the exterior of the building was given a complete face lift.  An exterior insulating finish system (EIFS) was installed over the original brick facade, while in other areas, the brick was left exposed.  All the windows were replaced throughout the building to improve the air tightness of the building and create a more efficient structure.  Upgrades were made to the heating and electrical systems.  The apartments were re-designed to provide more accomodating spaces for residents.
