At UIC, Douglass Hall is the main anchor for the Graduate School of Business. This fifty year old building had not seen any change or improvements since its inception and had inadequacies in heating air-conditioning, lighting and classroom space. Mekus Tanager’s mission was to create a fundraising tool for improvements to the building. These goals were to create a dynamic image and identity for the Graduate School of Business. The spaces needed to create a sense of community and camaraderie yet be interactive and flexible environment that would foster creativity and innovation.
