Due to a lack of space, antiquated facilities and outdated technical capabilities, PaineWebber (now UBS) consolidated and relocated from several offices to a 96,000-square foot space at 181 West Madison. This design solution offered greater environmental control for an equipment intensive system; a centralized communication center; flexible workstations to accommodate growth and meet the market’s changing needs; less dedicated administration space; and a contemporary appearance.
