Cooperative Education Services (CES) Regional Center for the Arts is a new 49,000 sf inter-district magnet high school facility. The school offers a part-time program for Fairfield County students interested in the performing arts. There are currently over 200 high school students from 14 cities and towns in Fairfield County attending the program at CES. Unique construction items for the school include a theater for an audience of up to 250 complete with catwalk system and state-of-the-art A/V booth, a black box fully adjustable theater for an audience of 100 also complete with a catwalk system, loading docks for set design items, seven music classrooms, six dance studios with theater-quality sound systems, two sound-proof music rooms for ensembles, a multiple-station make-up artistry room, locker rooms, and a computer room complete with the latest digital recording and editing software and broadcast capabilities. This facility contains the resources within its walls to train students in any possible capacity for a career in the arts field, from set and lighting design, video editing and broadcasting to acting and dance performance or instruction.
