The Iatan project consists of a new coal-fired steam electric power unit (Unit 2) with a nominal net electric power output of 850 MW as well as the addition of a new pulse jet fabric filter (PJFF) and wet flue gas desulfurization (WFGD) system on the existing Unit 1.1
Lambert Engineers, Inc. supplied engineering and design services associated with Alstom Power's air pollution control equipment for the new 850 MW Unit 2 and the 670 MW Unit 1 retrofit.
LEI services included engineering and design for the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) casing and associated catalyst handling, structural ductwork for PJFF inlets and outlets and WFGD inlets, support steel for the SCR and ductwork, turning vanes, access, and fabrication and erection support.
