Construction-Management
The Konover Construction team's success on the Kellogg House Residence Hall has prompted the University of Virginia to streamline its future development process on upcoming residence hall projects, reducing both the time and cost to bring critically needed student housing projects on line. The Konover Construction team's performance was so successful that the University has decided to use design/build delivery for its future residence hall projects. Moreover, the University gained a sufficient level of comfort with the process that it will provide only schematic level bridging documents to future design/build teams, rather than the more in depth documents provided to the Konover team on Kellogg House. For the students, project success is more fundamental: occupants are so enamored of their luxurious new digs they have dubbed the residence hall, formerly known as "Observatory Hill" as the "O'Hilton."
