Overlooking the Detroit River, this project presented the opportunity to develop a unique space in one of Detroit’s most recognized landmarks. The octagonal shape of the tower, while challenging, allowed for the innovative use of concentric circulation paths. The loops tie together varied spaces, ranging from casual gaming and seating areas, to formal multi-media conference rooms and private offices. As a creative company, it was very important for Digitas to inhabit a space that fostered myriad working styles and team arrangements, including accommodations for team members from other Digitas locations. These ideals are embodied in the hoteling offices, visitor workstations, client convenience rooms, and private phone booths. Also included are four multi-purpose ‘huddle rooms’ which are used for smaller group brainstorming sessions and impromptu meetings. The use of bold colors, strong shapes, and contemporary lighting match the company’s cutting edge mentality. "I received wonderful feedback from the folks in Detroit about the success of the project.
