Story

My design role was to bring the entire room to life, and I think it really showcases what I love to do, which is to design and build. The favorite room of the house is the family room.  The precious porcelain material is the Calacatta Bianco Oro Satin, I choose to go around the widows, and another wall near the stairs.  The porcelain, which features subtle but stunning striations of color to pair with the gray and beige colors in the room. Also, the white paint around the windows set off a  modern tone with the surrounding porcelain. The other walls I applied a gold beige basket weave design wall paper in the foyer.  Still, they are other beloved furnishings I loved in the room, the lamps and tables are a show case in it self.  My challenge was to find the balance between creating this luxurious over the-top moment but also designing for family living.
