Being forced to shut down for over a month was not a challenge many businesses plan for. For us, it was not about when things could go back to normal, rather, how could we excel in a world struck by a pandemic? As health and safety comprise core components of our company, the question we sought to answer was, “how do we ensure our employees, homeowners, and trade-partners go home safely and healthy amidst the epidemic? The answer came through a dedicated team approach. We spent time reviewing our processes to ensure we would be ready to successfully adopt new procedures and regulations. This effort culminated into a strategy influenced by MIOSHA, the Construction Industry Safety Coalition, and the CDC.

- New schedules were implemented to limit interactions among trades.

- A company-wide Covid-19 Safety Packet was developed and distributed to all trade partners.

- “Self-Screening Signs” were posted on sites reminding workers of our safety protocols for entering jobsites.

- A sign in sheet was attached to every entry for COVID-19 exposure tracking and record keeping.

- Hand sanitizers and masks were distributed on every jobsite.

- Regular cleaning and disinfecting of working areas were scheduled.

We are proud to say that through a unified effort, graciously bought into by our trade partners and employees, zero COVID-19 cases have arisen through exposure on our job sites.
