New Kitchen in a Remodel

Story

This was part of a two year renovation of a historic home in the Heritage Hill area. This is part of the basement of the home. It was originally an open room, that at one point was used as a ballroom. The entire level had the floors removed all the way to the dirt floors. The original hardwood floors had been removed and were re-installed. This area was split into a Living Room, Exercise Room, Kitchen, and Powder Room. Original doors and hardware were also repurposed to go into the space.

An original window was kept, restored, and re-installed as an interior window to let in light from the adjacent room.

For the Kitchen, we installed new custom black cabinetry, black tile, and walnut countertops in this space, along with cement tiles on the floor. An arched entryway was built into the space leading into the Kitchen. New millwork was installed to keep with the historic integrity of the home, including ceiling paneling.

The last image shows the existing space.
