This well loved home was conveniently located. The neighborhood was so great that the owner moved in from a rental just around the corner. The yard was gorgeous and the ranch floor plan was perfect for older parent visits, however the 1970-80's décor needed some serious updates. Every room was touched in one way or another. Removing old carpeting, vinyl flooring, wallpaper, popcorn ceilings and updating with white oak hardwoods, modern tile, and new lighting. The hall bath was fully renovated with new tile, vanity and fixtures. The kitchen was dark, dingy and tight, a one person kitchen. Coming up with a open floorplan with room to cook and prep was a feat and it came down to inches. A small island eliminated the closed off corners of the kitchen. Storage was also minimal so incorporating a lazy susan and deep drawers was crucial to the design. New stainless professional grade appliances elevated the small kitchen to a cooks haven. The one feature the remodeler wanted to highlight was the brick wall which was done by adding shelving up high and with the colors. Blue, white and copper bring out the reds and rusts in the original fireplace brick. This remodel was truly a labor of love for the remodeler as she took a great house and made it her very own home!
