Story

In 2000, Grand Valley State University built a new student housing facility in downtown Grand Rapids. The building consisted of eighty-one apartment units ranging in size from one to four bedrooms. The facility was erected using wood and block construction, which required coordination with other trades for a timely electrical installation. The project schedule was fast tracked, with the time from a vacant lot to finished structure under eight months.
