Grand Haven, Michigan
Civil-Engineering
This project consisted of construction of a non- motorized pathway to cross the regulated wetland in Gidley Bayou. Several timber retaining walls were designed. In addition, the design and permit application for a timber frame pedestrian bridge spanning over several hundred feet of the regulated wetland was successfully completed. Driesenga & Associates performed the complete design and construction engineering for the municipal bike path. Services provided included surveying, plan preparation, bidding services, construction engineering, project management, field inspection, and maintaining project records to comply with MDOT and City specifications. Coordination between the City of Grand Haven, MDOT, MDEQ, and project neighbors was of critical importance throughout this project.
