Koeze's Nut House

Kentwood, Michigan

Architectural

Story

Design Plus was hired to create an 6,250 SF addition to an existing Victorian farm house that would attract attention, and an interior to showcase the Client’s products, including an expanded product line of meats, cheeses, breads, and specialty teas and coffees, in addition to nuts and candies. In contrast to the dim light and dark wood of an old-time general store, the space created was open and bright, with a fresh, clean feeling. The displayed products, lighting, color selections, and dramatic structural design all combined in setting the desired theme. The project was completed in March 1987 with a total construction cost of $700,000.
