Design Plus provided a full range of services for the project including architecture, mechanical and electrical engineering, interior design including lighting selection and specification, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment including specification and procurement, and site/landscape design for this new 25,700 SF, 16-bed hospice facility. Structural and civil engineering services were coordinated with consultants. The building includes both private patient rooms and private patient suites, as well as reception area, library, chapel, dining room, kitchen, visitor’s café, laundry, children’s play area, meeting and conference rooms, multi-purpose room, patient and family lounges, administrative offices, staff facilities, and restrooms. The site includes landscaped walkways, gardens, sitting areas, and a gazebo for times of respite for residents and visitors. The project was completed in June of 2007 with a total construction cost of approximately $4,700,000.
